Al-Madina Mosque is one of several mosque communities in Rosenheim. It is operated by the Islamic Federation Rosenheim (IFRO).

History

Our association (AL-Madina Mosque) was founded in 2001 on Gabelsbergerstrasse in Rosenheim.

In 2004, we moved to Färberstrasse in downtown Rosenheim.

Since 2007, the mosque has been located at Schießstattstr 1a.

What do we do?
Al-Madina Mosque primarily serves to fulfill the basic religious services of Muslims, primarily the Friday prayer with the weekly sermon, as well as the five daily prayers.

Regular instruction in religious matters is also offered to mosque visitors.

As an additional activity, there is a children’s school for toddlers and young children, offering lessons and entertainment opportunities.

What is Islam?
Islam is the youngest of the major world religions. The most important principle for a Muslim is the belief in the one, only God (Arabic: Allah), whom one worships directly, without intermediaries. The guideline for a Muslim’s daily life is the Qur’an (Koran), which was revealed by Allah, as well as the exemplary way of life (Sunna) of the Prophet Mohammed (may Allah bless and peace be upon him).
